ProMed is proud to announce that we've joined forces with Joerns Healthcare to present "Creating Safer Environments for Healthcare," a webinar designed to help attendees develop, structure and implement safe lifting programs at their own facilities. The webinar will be held on Thursday, April 12 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CST.

Dr. Guy Fragala, a national expert on the application of ergonomics to the healthcare setting, will be hosting the webinar. Dr. Fragala has more than 35 years of experience as an occupational safety and health professional and currently serves as the senior advisor for ergonomics at the Patient Safety Center of Inquiry. He is also the champion for the Creating a Safer Environment (CASE) program at Joerns Medical.

During the webinar, Dr. Fragala will address:
  • Proven approaches to safe lifting programs
  • Ideas for expanding safe lifting programs to further improve safety for residents and staff
  • Financial incentives that can help justify investments into these programs
  • How a safer environment can improve quality of work life for staff as well as quality of care for residents
